Pi, what is it good for?


In this lesson the students will design and create their own buggy, that will be powered by the SAM DC Motor blocks. The buggy will have a flexible design so thatthe wheel size can be changed, and the distance that the buggy travels in a set time can be measured to assess the impact that wheel size has on the design.

The students will use Pi to calculate the wheel circumference of the wheels, work out the number of wheel rotations in a set time period, and calculate how far the buggy will travel with different sized wheels. They will perform the test to check their calculations.
